Surface Preparation

Allow new grout installations to cure at least 48 hours or according

to grout manufacturer's cure time. Grout cure can be extended by

environmental conditions such as low temperature or high humidity.

For heavily soiled, sealed, or old grout, clean grout with a mil d acid

cleaner, or if acid sensitive tile or stone, use an alkaline based

Application

Shake well before using. Test in a small inconspicuous area prior to

complete application. Apply in small workable sections. Apply

narrow bead of Recolor on the grout joint. Using a toothbrush, or

similar applicator, spread product evenly along grout joint with a

scrubbing motion. While still wet, wipe off excess from surrounding

tile with a damp (not wet) towel or sponge. When product is dry to

touch (usually 30-60 minutes), lightly clean the tile with a damp (not

wet) towel or sponge to remove haze. Changing grout colors light to

dark or dark to light may require an extra application. Tw o thin coats

are better than one heavy coat.

Drying Time

Depends on temperature, humidity and hardness of the grout.

Generally a second coat may be applied after 30 minutes. Light foot

traffic after 3-4 hours. Keep grout dry and avoid heavy scrubbing for

7 to 10 days.

Maintenance

Use a suitable neutral PH tile and grout cleaner.

Expected Wear

Up to 15 years. Unusually heavy traffic patterns may require

periodic touch up to maintain uniform color and protection.
